an accedotal story

A man and woman have a semminly good marriage. From the woman's point of view it was a "happy" one. The man regularly gave his wife flowers. They divorce when she finds out he has been having an affair. Seems the flowers he was giving were a gift because of the guilt he felt in cheating.
After the divorce she finds she is allergic to flowers. A therapist she's started seeing talks with her about her allergic reaction and thinks it might be a psychological response, though the woman clearly thinks otherwise.
One day the woman goes to see the therapist and upon entering the room glazes upon a beautiful boquet of red roses. "How can you do that, you know I'm allergic to flowers!" she says. The therapist just sort of sits there saying nothing. The womans eyes start to water, her nose gets stuffy, and her throat closes up a little.

So why am I sharing it with you?

You see, the beautiful bouquet of roses were 100% fake.
The mind can do unbelievable things.

Team we play tomorrow doesn't look all that great. One bohemith of a man that can't shoot free throws or run, so we should be able to tire him out. PLayed against one of the guys plenty at the rec. He sucked tonight but when he's playing his normal game he's a decent player.
I'm anxious to see what tomorrow evening brings.

Once again I'm at the library blogging and studying for a Rural Soc: The Amish Community test I've got tomorrow.
