State Games

Took 3rd today in the mountainbike race, Sport Men 19-29 division. There were 5 of us Mizzou guys in that division. Chad, myself, and Steve were at the front for the first two laps. Then Steve dropped off and a Chad and I started talking about who was going to take first and who was going to take second. Then we look back and see another guy in our class coming up behind us..so the race was on with a couple miles left. (since the start we hadn't seen anyone in our division other than the three of us Mizzou guys...so we were 20 miles into the race when we finally saw someone) Chad has the energy and power to hold him off, I didn't. Still couldn't be much happier than getting third place.
Last year this race was my first mountainbike race in a long time and I rode in the beginner category. After one lap I bonked, finishing pretty close to last place. So third place in the Sport category is a big step up. The collegiate races should be exciting.

Had a great time eating at CiCi's with the guys after the race...now its time for some relaxation and healing.

Also forgot to mention at the basketball games yesterday we had a NBA player in the house. Tyronn Lue showed up (he's originally from Raytown and became somewhat famous for pretty much shutting down Allen Iverson a couple years ago in the NBA Finals. He's got a couple NBA Championship rings from his time with the Lakers)
